You know what I never get sick of reading about? Celeb moms who keep it real when it comes to parenting — because it makes me feel like either they’re in the trenches right there with me, or I’m nailing this thing as well as they are. Either way, it’s a reminder that I’m not alone.

Case in point: In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Sheryl Crow opened up about w

“They’re really into music,” Crow told Us Weekly. “They both are taking piano lessons. Now they’re getting to that stage where they’re learning all the music and they’re just too cool for school.”

hat it’s like to be a single mom to her two sons, Wyatt, 10, and Levi, 7. In doing so, Crow shared a LOT about her approach to parenting, including admitting that, just like the rest of us, she too uses bribery as a go-to parenting tactic whenever necessary.

“There is a lot of bribery in my house,” Crow told the mag. “I’m a strong proponent. With food, I’ll be like, ‘If you eat this, you can have that.’ And now it’s over whether they get to watch Phineas and Ferb.”

Woke up to a snowy #Nashville! Getting out of the cold and heading south! 😎

The 55-year-old Grammy winning singer-songwriter is home in Nashville, after taking her kids along for the ride on her world tour. And it definitely sounds like they had more than a few adventures along the way this summer.

While on the road, Crow’s bass player taught her son Levi how to ride his bike sans training wheels, which as every parent knows, is a huge milestone.

“My 7-year-old finally got off of his training wheels,” she shared. “He never wanted to. We went on the road and my bass player took him out and got him off his training wheels. So to be able to share what it feels like to be on a bicycle and having that freedom was amazing. It was a great summer because of that.”

The singer also chatted about her kids’ budding love of music. (Because, duh — how could you not turn out totally musical when your mom is Sheryl freakin’ Crow?)

“They’re really into music,” Crow told Us Weekly. “They both are taking piano lessons. Now they’re getting to that stage where they’re learning all the music and they’re just too cool for school.”

But when asked if her kids happen to know any of her songs, the singer shared something so funny that I literally LOL’d — and woke my sleeping infant in the process (my bad).

Ha! There isn’t a soul out there (or a woman over 30) who isn’t all too familiar with Crow’s late-90s hit, “All I Wanna Do.” But there also isn’t a parent out there who isn’t intimately acquainted with the “creative” potty humor of young boys. And to hear her Grammy Award-winning hit re-written to be all about poop — by her own kids, no less — well, that’d be enough to have me cry-laughing if I were her.
