A Syrian Air Force aircraft is being shot down in the Syrian desert region of El-Badia, Sky News Arabia reported.
According to the television, the MiG-21 aircraft pilot survived the fall and was captured by members of a rebel group that controls the region.
The incident occurred in southern Syria, near the border with Jordan, where the Syrian army killed heavy rebels last Thursday.
In connection with the overthrow of the plane, the group Osud al-Sharkaya announced that its fighters had landed the MiG, which was in a combat mission.
Syrian authorities have so far not commented on the information about the overthrow of the plane.
